45 new cases of Covid-19 confirmed, no new deaths

The most recent figures have been released.

45 new cases of Covid-19 confirmed have been confirmed, while no new deaths were recorded in the past 24 hours.

The Republic of Ireland’s overall Covid death toll remains at 1,763, while there has been a total of 26,253 cases confirmed in the country.

35 of the newly confirmed cases are among men, while 10 are women.

77% of the new cases are found in people under 45 years of age

31 of the 45 cases are associated with outbreaks or are close contacts of a confirmed case.

Four cases have been identified as community transmission.

33 cases are located in Kildare, seven in Dublin, and five are spread across four other counties.

Once again, people are being reminded of the symptoms of Covid, which are: a fever, a cough, shortness of breath, loss or change to your sense of smell or taste, or flu like symptoms.

Meanwhile, for the 22nd consecutive day, no new Covid-19 related deaths have been recorded in Northern Ireland.
