No foul play in death of baby girl that was found on Dublin beach

The Gardaí are renewing their appeal for the mother of the child to come forward.

The Gardaí have confirmed that there was no foul play involved in the death of a baby girl whose body was found on a beach in Balbriggan, Dublin.

As reported by RTÉ, a post mortem examination has now been completed and it has established that the child was a full-term baby girl.

The body was found by a member of the public on Bell’s Beach near Balbriggan on Saturday morning.

Speaking at a press conference this morning, investigating officers have also renewed their appeal for the mother of the child to come forward.

They are also appealing for anyone with any information to contact Balbriggan Garda Station on 01 8020510.
