Thankfully, the flight landed safely.

A CityJet flight, reportedly en route to London from Dublin, was forced to declare an emergency while flying over the Irish sea on Friday morning and return to Dublin airport.

Flight 112 was in contact with the Dublin Airport Authority before its arrival.

A spokesperson from the DAA told the Independent that the flight was given precedence on its approach to the airport.

“All precautions were taken and a full turnout of Dublin Fire Service were in attendance for the flight’s landing,” the spokesperson said.

“The flight landed safely and no further action was necessary.”
