1. Get in touch with your inner animal at Fota Wildlife Park
Did you know that Fota Wildlife Park is a joint project between the Zoological Society of Ireland and UCC and the idea for the zoo was originally conceived in the 1970s by former Director of Dublin Zoo, Dr. Terry Murphy?
The zoo has been open since 1983 and it recently underwent a significant redevelopment of facilities, so if you haven’t been there since you were a kid then you probably won’t even recognise the place.

2. Enjoy all the sights, sounds and free stuff at Culture Night
Culture Night is an annual all-island public event that celebrates culture, creativity and the arts of Ireland and, this year, it will take place on Friday 19th September.
There are hundreds of events taking place all over the country, from art expos to readings, and there’s even a unique chance to have a specialised talk with the Guinness Archivists at St. James’ Gate in Dublin.
