Funny times ahead.

Funnyman Al Porter could be getting his own radio show on 2FM.

The 22-year old currently works alongside Colm Hayes on The Colm Hayes Show but rumour has it, that arrangement won’t be in place for much longer.

Al said: “I am definitely going to be staying on radio, it just hasn’t been decided if I’ll be staying with Colm or doing my own show.

“There is talk of me getting my own slot and 2FM will be announcing quite a line-up change in September. It will all be revealed then.

“If I move to the weekends, I’ll spend more time gigging in London.”

The Tallaght native will also be presenting his own variety show on RTE2 and helping to cover Electric Picnic along with Eoghan McDermott and Jenny Green.

A busy September lined up for the young star but he’ll also be at the Vodafone Comedy Festival which is taking place this weekend with headliners such as Tommy Tiernan (below), Jason Byrne, Bernard O’Shea, David  O’Doherty, Eric Lalor, Foil Arms and Hog and PJ Gallagher.
