Idiotic stuff from the businessman.

Alan Sugar has issued a statement after he posted the following tweet about the Senegalese football team.

Since posting the above message, plenty of people took umbrage with his tweet and declared it to be racist.

Sugar deleted the message 23 minutes later – but refused to apologise.

Since receiving a backlash, the entrepreneur posted a follow up tweet, giving somewhat of an explanation for his initial message.

“Just been reading the reaction to my funny tweet about the guy on the beach in Marbella . Seems it has been interpreted in the wrong way as offensive by a few people . Frankly I cant see that I think it’s funny. But I will pull it down if you insist.”

Senegal won their opening match of the World Cup thanks to a 1-2 win over Poland. Seven players in the Senegalese squad are based in England – including five players in the Premier League.
