Significant numbers of people took to social media on Friday afternoon to complain about delays getting to the festival.

All Together Now have released a statement following the number of complaints made about traffic delays from people trying to get into the festival.

This resulted in AA Roadwatch warning people travelling to the festival in Waterford to expect delays on routes approaching the festival site at Curraghmore Estate due to massive traffic tailbacks in the area.

Since then, All Together Now have released a statement attempting to explain the situation, and thanking people for being understanding.

It read: “We are aware of the delays in getting to this weekend’s All Together Now Festival, and we would like to thank everyone for their patience and understanding.

“The home of the festival, the Curraghmore Estate, was built in the 15th century, with a complex network of surrounding country roads.

“Every new festival faces challenges. Everything in terms of carpark, campsite, and Main Arena opened on time today.”

As you can see by the responses to the tweet, a number of people still aren’t happy.

The festival kicks off tonight with acts like The National, Patti Smith, Hot Chip and Fontaines DC performing throughout the weekend.
