Amazing news for Prince fans, you can finally listen to all of his albums online

Rosanna Cooney

Prince Donald Trump

We’re already playing Purple Rain.

This is big, this is huge, fans of Prince have long been confined to listening to his music on CDs and radio stations after Prince pulled his music from YouTube in 2014, and took it off all streaming services except for Tidal in 2015.

All of Prince’s albums from 1978 to 1996 are now available on Spotify, Apple Music and Google Play, Amazon Music. His full catalog will be up by the time the Grammys begin later this evening.

In a remarkable career that spanned three decades, he released 39 albums (two of them earning a place in the Grammy Hall of Fame) and won all of the following: an Oscar, Golden Globe, 7 Grammy Awards and a BET Lifetime Achievement Award. There are some artists that transcend music because their talent, art and influence seem to defy normal conventions. They’re icons and Prince is one of those icons.

The last time that Irish fans got to see ‘The Purple One’ up close was on July 30 at Malahide Castle, Dublin. Check out some footage of Prince’s concert here.
