Amazing time-lapse video shows construction of new World Trade Centre at Ground Zero

9/11 – It’s been 12 years to the day since news broke of the New York terrorist attacks and, while many are still coming to terms with the awful events that occurred on that tragic day, the rebuilding process has been well under way at Ground Zero for a number of years.

That rebuilding process won’t be complete for quite a while yet but, for the time being, check out the amazing commemorative footage below which shows the incredible construction of the 1,776 foot tall One World Trade Centre. The EarthCam clip, which consists of hundreds of thousands of photos taken since construction began in 2004, contains lots of excellent sweeping camera work, is accompanied by epic orchestral music and was tweeted by Shooter McGavin of all people – you couldn’t get any more American than that.
