This is the third American hunter to have paid at least $100,000 in permit fees to hunt in Pakistan in recent weeks.

A hunter from the USA has paid a record amount for the chance to kill an extremely rare type of mountain goat, called a markhor, in Pakistan.

Bryan Kinsel Harlan paid a reported $110k for the chance to hunt the rare mountain goat.

Reports have suggested that this fee was the highest ever paid for a hunt in Pakistan, and the third American hunter to pay at least $100,000 in permit fees in recent weeks.

“It was an easy and close shot and I am pleased to take this trophy,” said the US hunter while speaking to Dawn.com.

A harrowing video of the hunt was posted to social media, which shows Harlan celebrating after the goat is killed.

The nature of the video is sensitive, and viewer discretion is advised.
