Anne Heche dies one week after car crash, aged 53
The actress was best known for her roles in Donnie Brasco and Volcano.
On Friday, 5 August, the actress' car crashed into a property in Mar Vista. Heche was taken to a hospital, where she had remained in a coma.
As BBC reports, the actress is legally dead but will remain on life support to allow for a possible organ donation, as per her representative.
She is best known for her roles in Another World, Donnie Brasco, Volcano, I Know What You Did Last Summer, Six Days, Seven Nights and Return to Paradise.
Heche's friend Nancy Davis took to Instagram to make the following statement:
"Heaven has a new Angel. My loving, kind, fun, endearing and beautiful friend Anne Heche went to heaven. I will miss her terribly and cherish all the beautiful memories we have shared. Anne was always the kindest, most thoughtful person who always brought out the best in me."
Anne Heche was 53 years old, and is survived by her two sons.
