This anti-Trump protest sign takes the whole idea of protest signs to the next level

Best protest sign of 2017?

This took some real effort. Kudos.

President Of The United States Of America Donald Trump (still not a punchline, still reality) has wrapped up his tour of Asia, stopping off at various nations, and with each stop he manages to say or do something that the internet can’t help but make fun of.

Not entirely caught up? Let us count the ways…

Trump to Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe: “I don’t know if it’s [Japan’s economy] as good as ours. I think not. Okay? We’re going to try to keep it that way. And you’ll be second [they are third at the moment, behind China, but who’s counting?].”

Trump to Japanese CEOs: “[T]ry building your cars in the United States instead of shipping them over. Is that rude to ask?”

Trump in Vietnam, during talks to build a closer relationship: “[W]e are not going to let the United States be taken advantage of anymore.”

Trump in Russia, talking about Putin: “[H]e said he didn’t meddle. […] You can only ask so many times. I just asked him again. He said he absolutely did not meddle in our election. He did not do what they are saying he did. […] Every time he sees me he says, ‘I didn’t do that,’ and I really believe that when he tells me that, he means it.”

Trump on Kim Jong-un: “[W]hy would Kim Jong-un insult me by calling me ‘old,’ when I would NEVER call him ‘short and fat?’ Oh well, I try so hard to be his friend – and maybe someday that will happen!”

Also in the mix there, Trump said that the subject of human rights violations came up during his meeting with Philippine President Rodrigo Duterte, something that Duterte’s people completely deny ever happening.

Duerte has been recently bragging about personally killing people, including murdering someone at the age of 16 simply for making eye contact with him.

Duterte’s spokesman Harry Roque told CNN that he sees Trump and Duterte as “very much alike in their thinking, their language and demeanour.”

That may be part of the reason why the anti-Trump protesters were out in force in the Philippines capital of Manila, with this particular sign catching the attention of anyone and everyone in the area.

Is there awards for best protest sign? Cos we think we found 2017’s winner. And those is strong words considering the genius ones that were sprung out for the March For Choice in Dublin earlier this year.
