Appeal for witnesses following shooting incident in Dublin on Tuesday night

Gardaí are appealing for witnesses following a shooting incident in Clondalkin on Tuesday night.

Around 9.20pm, Gardaí attended the scene after a number of shots were fired at a house on Greensfort Crescent.

None of the occupants of the house were injured but damage was caused to the windows and exterior of the house.

It’s understood the perpetrators fled the scene on foot and in a follow up operation, a man in his 20s was arrested near the scene by members of the Armed Support Unit (ASU).

He is currently detained under Section 30 of the Offences against the State Act, 1939 at Ronanstown Garda Station.

The scene has been preserved for forensic and technical examination.
