Anyone who’s ever went skiing will know that the best craic often happens après ski. Well, Dubliners will be able to tap into that vibe when a giant Après Ski Village and Lodge comes to the CHQ from 30 November to 23 December.
Expect the custom-built Après Lodge to be the party venue of choice this winter. Visitors can enjoy bars with a great selection of drinks, in-house DJs, live Après Ski bands, a dance floor and a “ski lift booth.” We’re not sure what that is either but we’re intrigued!
Close to a square kilometre of George’s Dock will be transformed into a festive wonderland, with the village offering everything from a Christmas market to festive treats.
It’s free into the Après Village and food stalls will serve everything from gourmet burgers to German sausages to churros. Plus, you can enjoy warm drinks to help you keep the chill out when you’re chilling out.
There’ll be plenty of festive family fun available every day from 12pm to 7pm. The kids will love the face painting, Santa’s Grotto, amusements and exploring the market stalls.
A VR ski experience will allow you to see if you could have made it as an Olympic skier and an inflatable snow globe will provide the perfect backdrop for all your Instagram pics. When night falls, the party will get going in earnest.
Tickets for the Après Lodge are €15 per person and you’ll get a free food and drink voucher with your ticket. Or you can book a table for 10 in advance for €300, with a food and drink voucher for each person and a table guaranteed.
