A man has been arrested following an armed robbery in Cork on Saturday (23 April).
At approximately 7.15pm, a lone male entered a business premises on the main street in Ballincollig armed with a weapon.
The male threatened staff members, and left the scene in a taxi with a number of items of property.
In a follow up search, Gardaí arrested a man in his late 30s, and located the stolen property.
He was taken to Bridewell Garda station where he was detained under Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act, 1984.
He has since been charged in relation to the incident and is due to appear Monday morning (25 April) at Cork City Court at 10.30am.
The investigation is ongoing.
