The incident occurred yesterday in Balbriggan.

An arrest has been made after a cyclist was killed in a truck crash in Dublin.

The incident occurred on Dublin Street, Balbriggan, shortly after 12.30pm yesterday, March 16.

The male cyclist, aged in his 70s, was pronounced dead at the scene.

The Coroner has been notified with a post-mortem examination to take place in due course.

A man in his 30s was arrested at the scene and the road was closed for a technical examination.

Gardaí are appealing to anyone who may have witnessed the collision, or road users with camera or dash-cam footage who were travelling in the area at the time of the collision to contact investigating Gardaí.
