Gardaí in Cork are investigating following an alleged assault that occurred on Friday night, 15 February.
The incident took place on Main Street in Carrigaline.
A man in his 50s was assaulted and received injuries to his head that required medical attention.
He was treated at the scene by paramedics and later transported to Cork University Hospital for further examination.
No arrests have been made in connection with the attack and investigations are ongoing.
