JOE

Who doesn’t dream of living like the other half?

Unfortunately for us mere mortals, things like antique furniture, oak writing desks and Maseratis are just the stuff of dreams.

That was until deVeres auctioneers got a hold of the contents of this beautiful Dublin home.

The house, 51 Ailesbury Road, is situated on the most desirable street in Dublin.

According to The Irish Times, the house was sold recently by Louise and Rory Egan who are now selling some of the contents.

These contents include period furniture, a lot of desks, chairs, bookcases, crystal, copper pots and well, the aforementioned Maserati.

The 2006 Maserati Quattroporte has a 4.3 litre V8. At the time of purchase, such a ride would have retailed at €130,000 plus. Now, with the guide price of €15,000-€20,000, the car is bound to make some lucky person very, very happy.

Another eye-catching item for sale is a first edition copy of Ulysses by James Joyce, with the guide price of €5,000.

The auction takes place today at 11am.
