Are you short of funds?
Anyone who lives payslip-to-payslip will know just how difficult it is to make ends meet once one of those payslips doesn’t come through.
That’s the position that many Bank of Ireland customers are in today after a fault in the bank’s system prevented accounts being credited.
According to the bank’s Twitter, whatever glitch caused the problem has now been identified and they are taking steps to resolve the issue:
We have identified the cause of the delay. We're working on the resolution. Apologies & appreciate patience. We'll update on progress ASAP

In response to a tweet from a customer, the bank’s Twitter account also said they were ‘confident’ that the money would come through today.
@andydoconnor Hi, we're confident that funds will be credited today. As soon as we've an update on this we'll tweet about it. Thanks^SD

Though it’s easy to see how BOI customers might not feel so confident:
@talktoBOI listen, I'm visiting my friend in London and couldn't buy my train ticket to airport because of this. I am so disappointed

In response to another tweeter, the bank have confirmed that despite their confidence, they have ‘no time frame’ for a solution.
@AislingMargaret Hi Aisling, we're so sorry however we don't have a time frame yet. As soon as we do, we'll let you know here. ^EL
