Barack Obama’s reaction to Donald Trump’s wire-tapping claims was the same as everyone else’s

Face, meet palm…

President Donald Trump caused waves recently when he boldly declared that Barack Obama ordered a wiretap on his phones during his presidential campaign.

The unsubstantiated claims by the US President have led to a number of senators contacting the FBI to seek proof that such an incident actually took place.

It has now been reported that Obama rolled his eyes when he heard the claims from Donald Trump.

Representatives of the former president have staunchly denied the claims leveled at them by Trump in his explosive tirade.

A source close to Mr Obama told NBC News he felt the claims “undermine the integrity of the office of the President.”

“[Obama] is much more concerned by President Trump kicking people off their health insurance, not staffing the government, not being prepared for a crisis, rolling back regulations so that corporations can pollute the air and water and letting mentally unstable people buy guns with no problems whatsoever,” the source said.

“He cares about all those things much more than what President Trump tweets at the TV each morning.”

Dianne Feinstein, a member of both the Senate intelligence and judiciary committees, told CNN she had seen no evidence that Obama had ordered a wiretap on Trump’s phone.

“It’s all rather shocking to me that a sitting president would make this kind of an allegation about a former president without any proof whatsover,” she said. “I believe it’s patently false.”
