Ashford Castle Spa in Mayo has been named Ireland's Best
Hotel Spa for the eighth year in a row by the World Spa Awards.
Established to celebrate and reward excellence in the spa and wellness sector, the ninth annual World Spa Awards were announced earlier this month following a year-long search for the top brands in the field across the globe.
Votes were cast by industry professionals, the media and the general public.
While Ashford Castle Spa was crowned the Best Hotel Spa in Ireland,
Eden Elements at Eden One in Ballsbridge,
Dublin was named Ireland's Best Day Spa for 2023.
Following the win, Ashford Castle Spa wrote on social media:
"We are having a truly incredible week here at Ashford Castle! The Spa has again been crowned Ireland's Best Spa at the prestigious World Spa Awards for the eighth consecutive year.
"Earlier this year, The Spa became Ireland’s first and only Forbes Five-Star accredited spa, and we invite you to join us in celebrating our talented Spa team for their remarkable accomplishments."
The best hotel spa in Ireland for 2023 has been crowned
As for the rest of the globe, the
Bürgenstock Hotel & Alpine Spa was named the World's Best Hotel Spa for 2023.
Located in Switzerland, it also received the same honour in the European category.
Speaking about this year's nominees and winners Rebecca Cohen, managing director for the World Spa Awards, said:
“The spa and wellness industry is experiencing sustained growth, evident in the calibre of nominees in our 2023 programme.
"We have seen a notable increase in first-time World Spa Awards recipients, whilst previous winners also continue to push the boundaries of excellence by retaining their titles.
"All winners have shown dedication to delivering exceptional spa and wellness experiences and we are excited to share these achievements with the world.”
