The best hotel spa in the world for 2023 has been crowned

It won in several categories at the World Spa Awards.

The World Spa Awards have chosen their Best Hotel Spa on Earth for 2023. Established to celebrate and reward excellence in the spa and wellness sector, the ninth annual World Spa Awards were announced earlier this month following a year-long search for the top brands in the field across the globe. Votes were cast by industry professionals, the media and the general public. This week, JOE reported on Ashford Castle Spa in Mayo being crowned the Best Hotel Spa in Ireland and Eden Elements at Eden One in Ballsbridge, Dublin being named Ireland's Best Day Spa for 2023.

However, as for the World's Best Hotel Spa for 2023, that honour went to Bürgenstock Hotel & Alpine Spa in Switzerland. Boasting "views from all over Lake Lucerne" and offering amongst its 10,000 sqm five pools, saunas and a relaxation room, the resort was also crowned Switzerland and Europe's Best Hotel Spa. In a statement on its social media, Bürgenstock Hotel & Alpine Spa said it was "proud and honoured" to pick up the awards. "Huge congratulations to the entire Alpine Spa Team for this incredible achievement," it added. "And thank you very much for voting for us, for your continued support and trust.
