The best pubs of the year have been revealed at the Irish Hospitality Awards 2019

best pubs in Ireland

You may have had a pint in these places.

Truth be told, if you’ve got a thirst on you, the nearest pub to you is probably an extremely strong contender for the best pub of the year. However, while this logic is sound, there’s a lot to be said for the acclaim that comes with winning a prestigious accolade.

The Irish Hospitality Awards are as lofty as they come because over 300 elite professionals gathered at the Crowne Plaza Dublin Airport Hotel to celebrate their achievements in the hospitality sector with their peers.

As stated by the official synopsis of the event: “The winners, who are chosen by members of the public, are a true reflection of the hard work, quality and impeccable customer service that is offered in the hospitality industry.”

We fully agree.

Overall, there were 28 accolades presented to the deserving winners and several of the awards were split into various regions to ensure that the diverse range of hospitality businesses from across Ireland were honoured.

As you would expect, there’s a plethora of categories with accolades being given to various restaurants, hotels, festivals, cinemas, sports venues and more, but the list of pubs definitely piqued our interest.

For example, Kavanagh’s in Naas won the award for Best Pub/Inn of the Year Overall Winner while The Gravediggers in Phibsborough won the title for Dublin.

Congratulations to all of these winners.
