Drumroll, please…

With all this grim talk of a potential World War III, we’re choosing to bury our heads in the sand for a few minutes to scan some very important news.

Why yes, the very best takeaways across the island of Ireland have officially been determined.

On Monday night (21 February), the YesChef Takeaway Awards 2022 in the Radisson Blu Hotel, Athlone.

“I’m proud to say that the people who joined us tonight helped to sustain Irish people through some of the toughest times they have faced,” said Programme Director Nicci Smith.

“Food is not just a necessity it is a joy, a pleasure in life, a sensory experience, something that lifts us at the end of a tough week. And these guys lifted us through a tough two years.”

Broken down into numerous categories, the big winners on the night are as follows:
