Your own county might surprise you.
As revealed on Thursday morning, almost €2 million worth of bikes have been stolen in Ireland since 2016.
The information comes from An Garda Síochána as they establish their new ‘Lock It or Lose It’ campaign in a bid to improve general security.
According to the figures, Dublin, Cork, Limerick and Galway account for 83% of all bicycle theft.
52% of bikes are stolen on public streets, while 32% are taken from homes.
In total, 41,122 bikes have been stolen in the past two years.
