Cosby could spend the rest of his life in prison.

Bill Cosby will be sentenced this week following sexual assault charges made against him in 2015.

The actor and comedian was found guilty of the sexual assault of Andrea Constand at a retrial in April of this year, but won’t be sentenced until at some point this week, potentially on Monday.

In June of 2017, Constand described an incident in which Cosby gave her a pill that left her physically frozen, saying: “I wasn’t able to fight it in any way. I wanted it to stop.”

Cosby is currently out on $1 million bail, but he does have to wear a GPS tracker at all times.

Although more than 60 women have accused the 81-year-old of sexual assault, it is only one single case that could land him behind bars.

Some women who initially wanted to speak at the trial will not as it will slow down the process.

According to The Guardian, it is rumoured that Cosby plans to appeal against the conviction, with his lawyers expected to argue for leniency, considering his age, his health, and the fact that he is legally blind.
