An amusing blooper on TV3 news warmed the hearts of viewers during the cold weather

What were those three fs again?

Fair play to them, news reporters from Irish TV stations have been doing a bang-up job of keeping the nation updated about the weather situation all over the country this week.

Schools and colleges are off and plenty of workers have been told not to report for duty due to the status red warning, but TV crews have still managed to deliver reports from the worst affected parts of the country in the past few days.

Paul Byrne from TV3 News is one of those hardy reporters doing a fine job this week and when down in Waterford on Wednesday, he was stressing the need to look after the elderly in isolated rural communities when he had a bit of a stumble on air.

Speaking about the need to stock up on “the three fs” Paul subsequently could only then think of two in a moment that was spotted by plenty of TV3 viewers on Wednesday night.

As you’ll hear by the chuckles of a JOE reader at the end, many viewers found the innocent blooper pretty amusing, although we’re sure few of those watching on would be quick to trade places with Paul and his counterparts, who have been doing sterling work this week.

Cheers to Ross King and Jeanelle Tobin for sending this our way. If you have something you would like to share with us, send it to [email protected] or hit us up on Facebook or Twitter.
