Hotels and guest houses in Donegal, Cavan, Galway and Mayo have been added to the prestigious Blue Book collection, which represents the finest of Ireland’s hospitality, accommodation and cuisine.

There are now 53 hotels, guesthouses and restaurants listed in the 2018 edition of the Blue Book, following the addition of Castle Grove Country House in Letterkenny in Donegal, Glenlo Abbey Hotel on the outskirts of Galway city, Virginia Park Lodge in Virginia in Cavan and Killadangan House, near Westport in Mayo.

Blue Book members are selected on a strict criteria basis with an emphasis on properties with a strong individualistic style and character that are not members of hotel chains.

The Blue Book association is the only Irish member of the prestigious Historic Hotels of Europe, which is an umbrella federation representing 18 similar associations in 16 European countries.

With 53 members, the 2018 Blue Book has more members in Ireland than ever before; you can see the full list of hotels, guest houses and restaurants here.
