Body discovered during search for missing woman Natalia Karaczyn

Gardaí in Sligo had previously said that they were concerned for Natalia’s safety.

A body has been found in the search for missing woman Natalia Karaczyn.

Search teams discovered the body, which has not yet been formally identified, in a wooded area near Carns in County Sligo.

The office of the State Pathologist has been notified and the Garda Technical Bureau are at the scene.

It is understood a person has been helping Gardaí with their enquiries. Gardaí also wish to thank the public for their assistance.

Detectives have been investigating the disappearance of Karaczyn, who is missing from her home in Crozon Park, Sligo since early Sunday morning.

She is described as being 5’8″ in height, slim build with green eyes and medium length straight blonde hair.

When she last seen, Karaczyn was wearing a black lace body suit, black leather trousers, black jacket and black open-toe sandals.

Late on Monday night, a man was detained for questioning in relation to the mum-of-three’s missing person status. He was released on Tuesday morning without charge.
