The verdict comes after three days of deliberations.

Dzhokhar Tsarnaev has been sentenced to death this evening after he was convicted last month of killing three people and injuring 264 others at the Boston Marathon in 2013.

The jury of seven women and five men came to the verdict follows three days of deliberation.

The 21-year-old ethnic Chechen was found guilty of setting off a pair of homemade bombs at the race’s crowded finish line on April 15 2013.
