Hell yeah…

We put up with a lot of poor weather in this country at times, but it’s our delight to tell you that today will not be one of those days.

Temperatures look set to reach a toasty 25 degrees in some areas today, as the Leaving Cert weather arrives with a bang.

In even better news, today isn’t even set to be the hottest day of the week with Met Éireann predicting temperatures as high as 26 degrees on Thursday.

While Thursday will be the warmest day of the week, temperatures will remain above 20 degrees in many places over the weekend.

Today may start out with some mist or fog in places, this will clear early in the morning. The day will be warm and mainly dry with sunny spells and light easterly breezes. This afternoon and evening, as has been standard enough over the past couple of weeks, there will be a risk of a few heavy or thundery showers in the northwest and in the southwest. Connacht may also be affected by these showers.

Even though temperatures will be high in many places, we can expect a muggy feel as it will be rather cloudy in many places.

According to Met Éireann, on Friday morning, there’s will be a risk of heavy, showery rain in Munster and Leinster in the morning and extending westwards. In the afternoon and evening, scattered showers will mainly affect Ulster, Connacht and west Munster. Some will be heavy and possibly thundery.
