WATCH: American news report expertly highlights the absurdity of Brexit
When you put it like this...
You feel like most people will agree that the Brexit process is not going very well.
Nobody really looks set to benefit from Britain leaving the EU, especially without a trade deal in place to smoothen the transition, yet they plough on, because it's the 'will of the people', apparently.
Over in America, many citizens are not particularly clued up on the what's going on with regards to Brexit. They've got their own monster to worry about, after all.
But Brexit is big news.
Explaining the whole situation to an American TV audience, the MSNBC reporter below breaks it all down to the bare bones in layman's terms, making the whole thing sound like an unbelievable act of self-harm.
"When Big Ben strikes 11pm on the 29th of March, the UK government will declare a critical incident," he explains.
The reporter lists all of the consequences of a no-deal Brexit in fairly bemused fashion, and with a significant level of quick-fire detail.
There's also a nice shout-out for Irish independence in the middle of it all.
Honestly, it's quite gripping television. Check it out below.
I didn't think it was possible, but a #NoDealBrexit sounds an even dumber idea when you listen to American TV reporting it.
