Dublin Bus, Irish Rail, DART, LUAS and Bus Éireann issue update on services for Tuesday

There will be some delays…

Dublin Bus, the DART, Bus Éireann and Irish Rail have announced that all their services will run on Tuesday, but there will be delays on some routes.

Services were suspended on Monday due to a status red weather alert being issued on account of ex-hurricane Ophelia passing over Ireland.

Dublin Bus are opeating as per their normal schedule this morning, but there will be some minor diversions on some routes.

Routes 7d, 59 and 111
Due to a fallen tree buses cannot serve Ulverton Road and are using Hyde Road and Castle Park Road.

Route 66 Towards Maynooth
Buses are unable to serve Collinstown and are diverted via the N4 at Leixlip amenity centre and returning to route at Straffan Road.

However, there will be NO Luas services on Tuesday morning after a technical room was damaged in the Luas Depot in Clondalkin during the storm. A meeting is scheduled for midday on Tuesday to review the situation.

All Intercity, Commuter and DART services are operating, with some minor delays, service alterations, four cancellations and capacity reductions;

Tuesday – Cancellations

  • 05:50hrs Cork to Dublin Heuston cancelled, 06:15hrs Cork to Dublin Heuston will additionally serve Mallow, Charleville and Limerick Junction.
  • Limerick to Balybrophy via Nenagh services cancelled. Bus substitution in place.
  • 09:45hrs Westport to Dublin Heuston cancelled.

Tuesday – Reduced capacity

  • 05:30hrs Limerick to Dublin
  • 05:30hrs Galway to Dublin
  • 06:30hrs Galway to Dublin
  • 06:40hrs Limerick to Dublin
  • 06:30hrs Galway to Dublin
  • 07:40hrs Limerick to Dublin

Intercity delays expected

  • Delays of 10-15 minutes on a number of Intercity routes including Kerry, Cork, Waterford and Rosslare expected due to clearing remaining debris off line.

Bus Eireann announced that the majority of services will operate this morning with the following exceptions;

Cork

We regret that the following routes cannot be served due to fallen trees:

  • Route 215 diverted via common’s road due to fallen tree at Fitzys Boreen
  • Route 223 Carrigmahon not served due to fallen tree
  • Route 233 Macroom to Cork via Coachford no Service due to fallen trees
  • Route 240 no service between Cloyne and Ballycotton due to fallen tree

Northwest

The are some delays due to road conditions

Southwest

The are some delays due to road conditions

West & Midlands

Services are operating as normal

East

  • 06.42 Ratoath to Dublin
  • 08.18 Dublin to Ratoath
  • 9.22 Ratoath to Dublin
