Pedestrian seriously injured following collision in Dublin

Gardaí are appealing for witnesses.

A pedestrian is in hospital following a serious road traffic collision in Dublin on Wednesday (8 June).

The crash occurred at approximately 8.15pm on the Old Navan Road in Mulhuddart, Dublin 15.

The pedestrian, a man in his 30s, was struck by a car and was later brought to Connolly Hospital in Blanchardstown.

He has since been transferred to Beaumont, where his condition is described as serious.

The driver of the car was uninjured.

The Old Navan Road was closed while a technical examination of the scene was conducted, but has since reopened.

Gardaí in Blanchardstown are appealing for witnesses to this collision to come forward.

Any person who was in the area of the Old Navan Road, Mulhuddart on Wednesday evening between 7.50pm and 8.20pm is asked to contact investigating Gardaí. Road users who may have camera footage (including dash-cam) are asked to make it available.
