Celebrities to descend on Dublin for Dior fashion show in Trinity College

The Irish designer plans to unveil his Dior pre-fall 2027 collection at Trinity College in Dublin on December 4th.

Anderson’s first job in fashion was in Brown Thomas in Dublin, and he has collaborated with brewer Guinness under his J.W. Anderson label, but this will be the first time he’s presented a collection in the country.

Announcing the show on his Instagram, Anderson made a nod to Irish woman and former editor of Harper's Baazar Carmel Snow, a Dalkey woman who went on to rule the fashion world in the 1940s and 50s.

Dior noted that Dublin is the birthplace of Carmel Snow, the editor-in-chief of American Harper’s Bazaar, who coined the term ‘New Look’ after seeing Christian Dior’s debut collection in February 1947.

This is the first time that Jonathan Anderson has presented a collection in Ireland, and also the first time the Fashion House has shown there.

“Showing at Trinity College Dublin is a dream come true. I began my career in fashion in Dublin, so returning here feels deeply personal. To present this collection in such an extraordinary setting – at an institution with such an important cultural history – is a real honour.”

Anderson is currently one of the world's most sought after designers. Known for his innovation and recent design of Taylor Swift's wedding dress in her recent nuptials to Travis Kelce.

Brown Thomas wrote online: "From beginning his fashion career at our Grafton Street store to presenting his first collection in Ireland, it’s a full-circle moment, and one we can’t wait to see unfold."
