Gardaí have urged people to never, ever drink and drive.
While Christmas is most certainly a time to be celebrated, it is important that we make sure that we don’t go overboard at this time of year.
An Garda Síochána have confirmed that a total of 10 people were arrested on suspicion of drink driving in Ireland on Christmas Day.
In a message posted on Twitter, they also confirmed that a number of the drivers that were arrested refused a breath sample, and will now automatically face a four year driving ban.
