21-year-old woman in serious condition following fall from Dublin city centre hotel window

It is reported that a 21-year-old woman in a serious condition following a fall from the window of a Dublin city centre hotel.

According to The Independent, 21-year-old victim fell out of the second-story window of the Clarence Hotel in Temple Bar, which is owned by U2 members Bono and The Edge.

She is said to have landed on the concrete ground and suffered serious injuries, before being rushed to St James’s Hospital where she is in a serious condition in the intensive care unit.

A 23-year-old woman had been arrested by investigating officers, and it was revealed that there was more than €5,000 in cash was in their room.

The incident took place on the evening on Monday 12 November.

Speaking to JOE, the Garda official statement on the incident at present is as follows:

“Gardaí in Pearse Street are investigating an incident in relation to a woman (21 years) who was removed to St. James Hospital on Tuesday 12 November 2018 at approximately 8p.m. after receiving an injury in a hotel on Wellington Quay.

“One female (23 years) was arrested at the scene and was detained under Section 4, CJA and has since been released and a file will be prepared for the DPP.”
