DART services no longer running to several stations on Thursday night due to “tragic incident”

The incident is reported to have taken place at Portmarnock.

DART services have been disrupted in Dublin on Thursday evening following the reports of a “tragic incident” having occurred on or near the rail line.

Irish Rail made the following statement via their Twitter account:

“DART services are terminating & originating at Clongriffin due to a tragic incident at Portmarnock. Dublin Bus are honouring Rail tickets. Update to follow”

Speaking to JOE, the Garda released the following statement:

“Gardai are the scene of an incident at Portmarnock Train station. A male, who is now deceased was on the tracks. The incident occurred at approximately 8.10pm. The rail line is currently closed.”
