Iarnród Éireann has confirmed that Connolly Station is expected to remain closed for at least the next two hours.
They further clarified that the lockdown in could continue for “possibly longer” than the two hours “pending army attending suspect item in station area.”
Gardaí have confirmed that they are attending the site, and that a “suspect device” was found in the surrounding area of the Dublin train station. The station was first evacuated and put under lockdown shortly after midday on Monday.
The area between Amiens Street and Commons Street has also been closed off following the discovery.
As it stands, no trains are stopping at Connolly Station, but at the nearest possible stations and offering road travel from there.
