There’s a happy ending.
A homeless man in Cork city had all of his possessions burned by a gang of teenagers over the weekend.
Michael, who’s been living in Cork for 13 years, was sleeping in a tent in a neglected car park when he went to the shop and came back to find everything he owned in flames.
TV3’s Paul Byrne went to the scene of the incident today and here’s what he found.

We’ve no idea why people would think that’s burning a homeless man’s possessions is funny, it really unbelievable.
Michael has been in the news in Cork lately after he confronted notorious rapist Trevor Browne to get him out of the city.
That story aired on The Neil Prendeville Show on Cork’s RedFM and the people on Leeside rallied around Michael to show gratitude and help get him off the street.
The incident over the weekend will be a blow, but it’s great news for Michael because enough money for a flat, a deposit and month’s rent has been raised in the last few weeks.
The total amount was over €2,000 and Michael hopes to get set up somewhere in Cork in the next few weeks.
Fair play to everyone who helped out, faith in humanity restored.
