Massive congratulations to Joanne

Massive congratulations to Joanne.

You may remember a few weeks ago when we told you the news that a teenager from Millstreet in Cork has been shortlisted as one of the top 20 young people in the world by Junior Chamber International.

We’re delighted to say that Joanne has won the prestigious award after a panel of judges agreed that her exceptional work and contribution towards children’s rights, world peace and human rights was exemplary.

Joanne is one of just seven people in the world that has Total Amelia, meaning she was born without limbs, but this award is just the latest in an impressive list of achievements.

She has already addressed the UN on the importance of technology in her life and will be travelling to South Africa very soon to give a discussion on this topic.

John F Kennedy, Henry Kissinger and the great Jackie Chan have previously won this award so Joanne is in esteemed company.

A massive congratulations to her and we’re certain that her impressive work has only just started.
