Cormac Ryan had been missing from Cork city since Sunday 9 February.
Gardaí have stood down the search for missing Cork man Cormac Ryan after his body was located on Thursday.
Ryan had been missing from Cork city since Sunday 9 February.
The 31-year-old was last seen around the Douglas Street/Rutland Street area of the city at approximately 11.20pm on Sunday.
Following the discovery of Ryan’s body, a file will be prepared for the local coroner.
On Thursday evening, Midleton Rugby Club released a statement, noting that Ryan had been found and thanking those who helped in the search.
“It’s with great sadness to announce that Cormac has been found this evening,” they wrote.
“Thanks to all volunteers who came out to search for him and made sure he was found. Our deepest condolences go to his family and friends.”
