That’s Limerick City.

Rubberbandits have been explicit in their support for measures to offer all help possible to refugees fleeing their war-torn homes in the Middle East.

That attitude is evidently flowing through Limerick, as residents of the Treaty County have pledged 450 beds to refugees taken in by Ireland.

pledge a bed

Uplift.ie’s Pledge A Bed campaign has been a resounding success so far all across the country, with over 11000 beds pledged to those in desperate need.

Anyone seeking to aid refugees by providing a bed can do so here. The pledge is described as exactly that, a pledge, as opposed to a ‘definite commitment’. Nevertheless, it is promising that so many Irish people seem willing to help people seeking refuge.

Hat-tip the Limerick Leader.
