Calling all beer lovers! You won’t want to miss this.

Being a fan of craft beers can be a bit of a chore at times.

It’s an extra bit of effort each time you go to the pub, and you’re constantly met with groans from people who will beg you to just get something simple.

Well, if this applies to you, we are happy to inform you that it is now your time to shine.

A craft beer festival is coming to Mayo next month, and it looks like it’s going to be a great weekend.

Westport House will host the 7th annual Grainne Ale Craft Beer Festival taking place in their beer garden on Saturday 4 and Sunday 5 May.

You can take part in the festivities at Gracy’s Pizzeria & Bistro located in the farmyard where you can taste some old favourites including regulars.

And for their first time at the Grainne Ale, guests can look forward to sampling Lough Gill’s brew and local Loch Measc distillery’s scrummy vodka and gin.

Westport House will play host to two full days of musical entertainment and will reveal the full schedule in the next couple of days.

They will also be firing up the wood-fired pizza oven for some mouth-watering bites to accompany the robust and flavoursome selections of beers, cider and spirits on offer.

As usual, the team at Gracy’s will be serving a full bar and soft drinks to compliment the crafty brews.

More information on the festival can be found here.
