Dublin Fire Brigade warned drivers that road work restrictions are “there for good reason.”
Five people were left with injured following a collision involving one car in Dolphin’s Barn on Sunday night.
Dublin Fire Brigade took to Twitter to share the shocking images which show the vehicle following a direct collision with railings protecting roadworks.
According to the Dublin Fire Brigade Twitter feed, the car drove headfirst into the railings blocking of a area currently closed off due to road works.
Dublin Fire Brigade warned drivers to be cautious of roadworks in a tweet which read:
‘We all dislike road works and complain about the restrictions surrounding them. But they are there for good reason. 5 people received minor injuries last night at this RTC. Dolphins Barn, Tallaght and @TallaghtAmbo attended.

The five people involved received minor injuries last night, none of which appear to be life-threatening.
Gardaí have confirmed that an investigation has not been launched into the incident.
