PIC: Crowds gathered to see this ‘apparition’ of the Virgin Mary in Limerick

It’s a Christmas miracle.

Approximately 50 people are believed to have gathered in Kilmallock in Limerick on Thursday night to see what some believed to have been an image of the Virgin Mary that appeared on the front of a two-storey house.

According to the Limerick Leader, as many as 50 people gathered, some from as far as away as Mitchelstown, approximately 30 minutes away by car, to see the image after reports of the sighting emerged at approximately 11pm on Thursday night.

Prayers were said, candles were lit and at one stage a local priest was called to the house, while it was the subject of plenty of chatter on social media once the word got out.

“At that stage there were up to 40 people gathered,” one local told the Limerick Leader of the scene at the house when the priest arrived.

“A number of cars and vans had parked up. People were saying the Rosary and holding candles. The priest joined in,” the local added.

The image is difficult enough to make out from the picture above, but while some feel it’s an ‘apparition’ of sorts, others reckon that the weather may have had something to do with it.

“I think it has to be ice,” another local told the paper.
