Homenews

A crazy thing to do.

David Blaine has done some utterly bizarre things throughout his career as a magician/performer. He has escaped situations that have seen him nearly buried alive, and almost drown, and he even went as far as to lock himself in a box without food for 44 days. And now, most recently, he has flown through the air at a ridiculous height while holding on to a load of balloons. He channelled his inner Carl Fredricksen (the old man from Up) and floated above the Arizona desert using helium balloons. He ascended to almost 25,000 feet (7,620m), and remained in constant contact with a team on the ground, before releasing himself and then deploying a parachute. While ascended, he said: "It’s like magic, it feels like I’m floating in the air." Blaine uploaded a three-hour video to his YouTube page, entitled David Blaine Ascension, and it can be seen in full here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QwzvNAAqH3g&feature=emb_logo Clip via David Blaine
