Deep RiverRock have become the first major water brand in Ireland to produce a 100% recycled bottle.
From June of this year, RiverRock will aim to eliminate approximately 500 tonnes of virgin plastic from the supply chain over the next three years.
Sounds like a great initiative to us.
The move comes as part of an effort from the brand to design more sustainable packaging and encourage greater recycling, meaning they will also be placing ‘100% Recycled Bottle’ message on the bottle.
RiverRock claim that these bottles, when recycled properly, should have a longer life span.
The move aims to inspire more responsible disposal of waste and greater recycling among consumers across Ireland.
RiverRock join a list of a number of major brands who are attempting to make adjustments in an attempt to positively affect the environment.
The news comes just a number of days after Ireland became only the second country in the world to declare a climate and biodiversity emergency.
