Iarnród Éireann confirmed that there are delays on incoming and outgoing trains after Heuston Station’s signaling equipment was vandalised on Saturday evening.
While it originally seemed that trains would be delayed for more than two hours, signaling equipment is already back in operation.
Irish Rail further confirmed that the 18:30 Portlaoise Heuston & 19:45 Heuston Portlaoise trains would operate.
Delays are still affecting all other trains operating to and from Heuston, but these delays will begin to ease as the evening goes on.

Update: delays now back to the region of 90mins to all services into & out of Heuston. Shuttle service in operating between Portlaoise & Sallins. Dublin Bus are honouring Rail tickets where services are available

Update: normal signaling back in operation at Heuston after earlier problems caused by vandalism. 18:30 Portlaoise Heuston & 19:45 Heuston Portlaoise will operate. All other Intercity services are subject to delays, but delays will begin to ease
