Deliveroo table service

The service will enable customers to browse the menu, order, and pay at a restaurant via the Deliveroo app.

The dining out experience has changed drastically for the foreseeable future, and Delioveroo has attempted to make the process that bit easier for diners and staff with a new function in the Deliveroo app.

Through the new Table Service feature, customers will be able to go to a restaurant, browse the menu, order, and pay via the Deliveroo app.

This will enable people to go for food without coming into contact with restaurant staff, making it easier for both customers to dine in restaurants while maintaining social distancing and to ease the burden on staff in the process.

The announcement follows Fáilte Ireland guidance, which encourages restaurants to use contactless ordering in their restaurants through apps.

With the announcement, Deliveroo becomes the first major platform in Ireland to introduce the feature, which is currently available to restaurants, pubs, and cafes across Dublin, Cork, Limerick and Galway.

Over time, Deliveroo aims to make this available to restaurants in other parts of the country.

Restaurants who use Table Service will benefit from 0% commission on dine-in orders placed through the app.

So now all you have to do is download the app and decide where you’re heading out to eat…
